Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about approval, completion, certificates, reporting, payments, and CE requirements.

Approval & Eligibility
How do I know a course is approved in my state?
Course approval varies by state. Select your state on our State Requirements page to see the courses approved for your license, or contact us and we’ll confirm eligibility before you enroll.
Where can I find your CE provider number?
Provider approval information varies by jurisdiction. Contact us with your state and license type and we’ll provide the applicable provider number and course approval details for your jurisdiction.
Does this course count toward my particular license?
CE credit depends on your license type and lines of authority. Check the course details and your state requirements, or ask us — we’ll help you match courses to your specific license.
Can a non-resident producer receive credit?
Non-resident CE rules vary by state, and some states grant reciprocity. Confirm your specific obligation with your resident and non-resident states, or contact us for guidance.
Can I repeat a course I took previously?
Some states restrict earning credit for the same course within a renewal cycle. Check your state’s repetition rules before enrolling.
Can unused CE credits carry over?
Carryover of excess hours is allowed in some states and not others. Review your state’s carryover policy on the State Requirements page.
Completing a Course
Is there a final exam?
Exam and completion requirements are set by each course and state — some require a final assessment or module quizzes, others do not. Each course’s details list its specific completion requirements.
What score do I need, and how many retakes?
When an assessment is required, the passing score and retake policy are shown in the course details. Requirements vary by course and state.
Is a proctor or identity verification required?
Most self-paced online CE does not require a live proctor, but some states or courses require identity verification or an affidavit. Any such requirement is listed in the course details.
Is there a minimum time requirement?
Some states require a minimum seat time for online CE. Where this applies, it is enforced within the course and noted in the course details.
Can I complete multiple courses in one day?
A few states cap the number of CE hours that can be completed per day. Check your state requirements if you plan to complete several courses at once.
How long will I have access to my course?
Course access periods are listed on each course page. You can work at your own pace within that window.
Certificates & Reporting
When will you report my credits?
Once you complete a course and meet its requirements, eligible credit is reported through approved channels. Reporting timelines vary by state; the expected timeframe is shown where applicable.
What information do you need to report my credit?
Reporting typically requires details such as your license number or National Producer Number (NPN) and other state-required data. You’ll provide these in your account profile.
What should I do if my credits don’t appear?
First allow the normal reporting window to pass, then check your state CE transcript. If credit is still missing, contact us and we’ll help resolve it.
Does receiving my certificate renew my license?
No. Completing CE and receiving your certificate earns credit — it does not renew your license. License renewal is a separate step you complete directly with your state, including any state renewal fee. See How CE Works.
How long are certificates and records retained?
We retain completion records as required by applicable regulations. You can download your certificate from your account after completing a course.
Payments & Policies
How do I pay?
Secure online checkout. Pay for your course and get instant access — no waiting.
Are state reporting or license-renewal fees included?
Course prices cover the course itself. Any state reporting fee or license-renewal fee charged by your Department of Insurance is separate and paid to the state. Where a reporting fee applies to a course, it is noted in the course details.
Do you offer bundles or volume discounts?
Yes. Look for renewal bundles in the catalog, and contact us about volume pricing for multiple producers or agency purchases.
Can my employer buy courses for employees?
Yes — agencies and employers can purchase CE for their producers. Reach out to arrange group enrollment.
What is your refund policy?
See our Refund & Returns policy. In general, refunds are available before you begin a course.
